Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Delta Phi Omega Chapter is the premier organization of professional, college-trained, committed women leaders in Minneapolis – St. Paul, Minnesota, united to serve the Twin Cities metropolitan and surrounding areas.

We are guided by principles of Sisterhood, Respect, Leadership, Education and Economics in our work in five program target areas:

1.  HBCU for Life and our Signature Program, #CAP (College Admissions Process)

2.  Women’s Healthcare and Wellness

3.  Building Your Economic Legacy

4.  The Arts!

5.  Global Impact

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority was founded in 1908 on the campus of Howard University because a coed named Ethel Hedgeman had a dream of creating a support network for women with like minds coming together for mutual uplift, and coalescing their talents and strengths for the benefit of others.  Delta Phi Omega Chapter was chartered in the Twin Cities in 1948 to perpetuate Hedgeman’s dream.

In our over 70 years of existence, Delta Phi Omega Chapter has created great impact in our community through targeted programs and initiatives that have addressed the pressing needs of the era.

Our vision for excellence in sisterhood and service will ensure that Delta Phi Omega Chapter continues to be of service to all mankind.  We will continue to make Ethel Hedgeman’s dream a reality.

I encourage you to visit our website frequently to keep abreast of our activities.

Thank you for your interest in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Delta Phi Omega Chapter.

In Sisterhood and Service,

Mary E. Dedeaux-Swinton
