Debutante Program Overview & Minimum Requirements

The Debutante Program’s primary goal was to provide life skills training to young ladies of African American descent. The Debutante Program was comprised of 18 students in grades 11-12 during the 2021-2022 school year, who demonstrated exemplary academic achievement, possessed exceptional character, and had outstanding involvement in extra-curricular activities and community service.  The Debutante Program was a 6-month program that includes monthly workshops, with presentations and activities focused on topics such as health and wellness, education, and cultural arts.  The Debutante Program built on a foundation of leadership development and service to community and culminated with a virtual formal black-tie cotillion, where the debutantes will be presented to society and receive scholarships, awards, and recognitions.
